Michael “Micke” Braunstein
I’m here to help.
I’ve worked on Constitutional free speech issues, appeared in courts throughout the county handling complex consumer class actions, and fought the United States Government on behalf of the Penobscot Indian Nation. I help people and businesses that have been harmed. If you have been injured, deceived or wronged, I’ll fight to get you the most successful outcome possible.
I handle cases on contingency and blended free arrangements, betting on myself to help you in a cost effective, efficient, and successful manner.
Education & Experience
I graduated from the University of Maryland and St. John’s School of Law. With over 17 years of experience, I’ve worked at law firms with over fifty lawyers, nationwide class action practices, significant property damage and construction law departments and noteworthy personal injury practices. I’m admitted to practice before the New York and New Jersey State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and District of New Jersey. I’ve also been admitted pro hac vice to represent clients in numerous courts throughout the country.
Personal
I’ve considered Rockland County my home since moving here in the third grade. My wife, Monika, is a business owner and entrepreneur, forming M.Style, LLC, a wholesale home textile company in 2009. We have two boys, Benjamin and Noah, attending the same Rockland County Elementary School I did. They say you should hire me because I’m “smart, strong, unique, helpful, awesome, I have 8 years of practice [actually 17], the best person you will ever get, protectful [not a word, but I like it] and good at swimming” [I can avoid drowning but I’m no Michael Phelps, and swimming skills, along with the advice of biased 6- and 8-year-olds, are bad reasons for choosing legal counsel.]
